Summer break is only two weeks away (at least in my region) and my students and I can't hardly wait. :D
But there is still a lot to do, before we get off and time is precious at the moment.
But of course I found the time to make a card for the new 613 Avenue Create Challenge. Our twist for July is "monochrome" and I used some teal shades.

Valentine's Day is in two days and I just finished my card. It's for my godchild and the sentiment reads "mail for you". I tried to make a colorful and fun card a little boy would like. And I hope he likes it. He is into shaker cards lately, but I had no inspiration for one and he'll get one for his birthday.

für die heutige Karte habe ich mal etwas anderes versucht. Ich habe die Motive mit Distress Ink "antique linen" gestempelt, so dass man später nichts mehr davon sieht und habe sie mit Aquarellfarben angemalt. Dabei habe ich einen loseren Pinselstrich verwendet und war mehr auf ein künstlerisches Aussehen aus. :)

Stempel noch mal ausgegraben habe. Die Libelle war ein
Versuch, zwei Farben zu verblenden, die eigentlich nicht

verblendbar sind. Hat auch nur so lala geklappt. Muss ich

wohl noch mal etwas üben. :)

da ist der Februar auch schon wieder fast rum.

Ich habe dafür diesen hübschen Schmetterling 

genommen und ihn mit Copics coloriert. Dabei

wollte ich mein Farbschema recht simple halten

und die Farben nicht zu sehr verblenden, sondern 

eher fedrig ausfächern.

and I didn't want to blend to much. I was looking

Es ist Zeit zu feiern!
613 Avenue Create Challenge wird zwei Jahre alt!
Und dafür gibt es eine ganz besondere Challenge.
Sie heißt "1001 Techniken"! Das heißt, dass alles,

was an Basteltechniken so bekannt und beliebt ist,

kann und soll verwendet werden.

Ich war dabei etwas klassischer. Shaker Cards, sticken,

usw. habe ich ja zwischendurch immer mal gemacht.
Dafür wollte ich eine simplere Karte mit einer etwas

(für mich) ungewöhnlicheren Farbcombi machen.

Was habe ich so an Techniken verwendet?
Embossing mit meiner BigShot, Distress Inks verwendet,

mit Copics coloriert, die Blumen am Kleid sind aus kleinen

Stücken Motivpapier (paper piecing), Washi Tape, Glossy 

Accents und Motivpapiere durften natürlich auch nicht fehlen.

Dazu eine Mischung aus digital und clear stamp. :)

it's time to celebrate!

613 Avenue Create is turning 2 and we have

a very special challenge this week. The challenge's

twist is "1001 techniques", so you can use any 

crafting technique there is.

I went a bit classy with my card. I made shaker 

cards in the past or embroidered on a tag and 

stuff like this, bis here I went with a more simple

card and an unusual color combo. (At least for me.)

So, which techniques did I use?
I colored with copics, used dry embossing with my

BigShot, distressed with Distress Inks, used washi

tape and patterned papers, used a digi stamp and a

clear stamp. I also made tiny paper piecings on the

flowers of the dress. :)

ich freu mich sehr, dabei sein zu dürfen.

Am Wochenende habe ich ein bisschen experimentiert.
Ich habe mich zum ersten Mal an einem Art Journal 

versucht. Mal sehen, wohin mich das führt. Ich weiß

noch nicht einmal, ob es etwas für mich ist. Aber ich

fand es ganz interessant und da ich bisher viele Versuche

aufgehoben habe, dachte ich mir, warum nicht in einem

Buch experimentieren? 

In dem Zusammenhang habe ich meine Acrylfarben 

ausgegraben und fand das gold so toll, dass ich damit

unbedingt etwas machen wollte.
Also habe ich sie mit einem Schwämmchen dick auf

die Karte aufgetragen, damit der Goldglanz sehr gut

zur Geltung kommt. :)

last weekend I experimented a bit. I started an art

journal. I don't know where it will take me and I 

even don't know if it's something for me, but I 

find it quite interesting and I keep a lot of trials

(and error) in a box, so why not experiment in a

journal?!

So I took a few paints and did some stuff and found 

the gold acrylic paint so pretty I wanted to something

else with it, so I painted some on a card. Quite opaque

with a sponge.

heute habe ich mich wieder an etwas vintage-mäßigem versucht.
Da ich bisher keine Erfahrung damit habe, muss ich sehr viel 

experimentieren. Nachdem mein erster Versuch furchtbar überladen

war, habe ich es dieses Mal etwas langsamer angegangen und mich

irgendwann gestoppt. Ich hoffe, zum richtigen Zeitpunkt. ;)

Hallo :)

heute zeige ich noch schnell die Karte, die meine Eltern zum Elterntag

(Zusammenschluss von Mutter- und Vatertag) erhalten haben.
Simple, aber ich wollte keine überladene Karte. Das passiert mir nämlich

viel zu schnell.

here I present the card I made for my parents for parents-day

(we celebrated mother´s day and father´s day at the same day).
It´s a simple card, but I didn´t want to have a card with to much stuff.

Mädchen mit Blumenstrauß (girl with flowers)

Hallo :)

da derzeit einige Frühlings- und Blumen-Challenges laufen, habe ich mir auch 

etwas blumiges überlegt. Das Motiv von Elisabeth Bell passt da ganz wunderbar. 

Die Rosen haben ich selbst geschnitten und gedreht. Habe das vor einigen Jahren 

schon mal mit einer Klasse für Muttertag gemacht und da ich keine passenden 

Blümchen hatte, habe ich eben schnell selbst welche gemacht. :)

there are a lot spring- and flower-themed challenges out there right now,

so I made a flowercard. The Elisabeth-Bell-image is just perfect and

since I didn´t have any yellow flowers, I made these myself. A few years

ago I made those roses with a fourth grade for a mothersday present,

so I could make them quite fast. :)
