today starts the may challenge over at 613 Avenue Create. The theme is "Shaker card" and I made a Star Wars themed one. Yesterday was "may the fourth", so it was star wars day. But I think, every day should be star wars day. :)
The sentiment reads "Happy Birthday to you, marmalade in your shoe". It's from a silly german birthday song kids love to sing.

Hallo Drache / Hello Dragon

I finally had some time to play with those wonderful dragons by Mama Elephant. Okay, I admit, I just played with one. But that's better than non at all. :)
It turned out to be a monochromatic card, but that's fine. When I saw this stamp set I immediately had to thank of Toothless from "How to train your dragon". So it had to be a black dragon!

Ich hatte endlich etwas Zeit, um mit den tollen Drachen von Mama Elephant zu spielen. Ok, ich gebe es zu, ich habe nur einen genutzt. Aber einer ist besser als keiner. :)
Am Ende kam eine monochrome Karte dabei herum, aber das ist ok so. Als ich das Stempelset sah, musste ich sofort an Ohnezahn von "Drachenzähmen leicht gemacht" denken. Also musste es ein schwarzer Drache werden!

I made this card for a friend who drove a long disctance just to visit me at the hospital. The sentiment reads "friends like you are the best". I mailed him the card, but the card returned to me because the mail man couldn't find my friends mailbox. Obviously it's not longer necessary for german mail men to be able to read. Sad!
I made the ombre sentiment color myself with several mini ink cubes by simon says stamp.

diese Karte habe ich für einen Freund gemacht, der sehr weit gefahren ist, nur um mich im Krankenhaus zu besuchen. Da passt der Spruch natürlich perfekt!
Ich habe ihm die Karte per Post geschickt, allerdings bekam ich sie nach einiger Zeit wieder zurück mit dem Verweis, dass der Empfänger bei der Adresse nicht zu finden war. Anscheinend muss man als Postbote nicht mehr lesen können. Schade!
Den Fatbverlauf im Spruch habe ich mit mehreren Mini Ink Cubes von Simon Says Stamp gemacht.

Luke Skywalker on Tatooine

today I have another Star Wars card. I am still in some kind of Star Wars bubble which is weird since I wasn't that hyped after seeing Episode 7 or Rogue One. But Episode 8 brought my right back into the Star Wars Universe.

I wanted to do something with the hero arts december kit since I got it, but neither time nor muse were in my side. So after coloring the Lego Luke Skywalker I thought about a background and the arabian nights card kit came back into my mind. So I colored a Tatooine background and the card was done. :D

da bin ich mal wieder und habe wieder eine Star Wars Karte im Gepäck. Ich bin immer noch gehyped von Star Wars, was komisch ist, da ich es nach Episode 7 und Rogue One nicht war. Die Filme haben mir gut gefallen, aber nach Episode 8 war ich wieder voll im Star Wars Universum.

Mit dem Hero Arts Dezember Kit wollte ich schon seit einiger Zeit etwas anstellen, aber entweder hatte ich keine Zeit oder keine Muse. Nachdem ich aber den Luke Skywalker coloriert hatte, brauchte ich einen Hintergrund und da fiel mir die Düne aus dem Set wieder ein. Also wurde es herausgekramt, der Sand coloriert, ein Himmel verblendet und fertig war die Karte. :)

Germany (and I think the rest of europe too) switched to daylight savings time yesterday. So it's summer now. Almost. :D
The weather here is perfect, blue sky, sunshine and almost 20°C. So clearly I am thinking about ice cream and had to make a yummi card.

Weihnachtshase / christmas bunny

heute habe ich wieder eine Karte, bei der ich an dem eigentlichen Stempel etwas experimentiert habe. Der Hase ist eigentlich kein Weihnachtsmann, sondern ein Sensenmann. Ich habe die Sense weggelassen und einen Stern am Ende des Stabs gestempelt. Dazu einen Bommel an die Kapuze gemalt und einen weißen Rand am Ärmel gelassen. Die Idee schwebte mir schon lange im Kopf herum und ich wollte es mal ausprobieren und ich war selbst davon überrascht, wie gut es geklappt hat. :D

today I hve a card where I altered the stamp. The bunny is from a Halloween Set and he's a Grim Reaper and he usually holds a scythe. I didn't stamp the blade, added a star on top and drew a pompom and a white part onto the coat. I had this idea for a super long time and I wanted to try it and I was so surprised how great it turned out. :D

Die geschwungene Ranke ist aus orangemd Glanzkarton gestanzt und setzt einen netten Akzent gegenüber der Wasserfarben.

heute haben wir eine neue Challenge bei Artistic Inspirations und unser Sponsor ist Robyn's Fetish. Ich habe den tollen Geist benutzt und ihn in verschiedenen Größen (auch mal seitenverkehrt) ausgedruckt. Dazu habe ich die Hexe von einem Clearly Besotted Stempelset genommen (gehört eigentlich zu einem Märchen) und einen Halloweenspruch. Ich wollte einen clean and simple Stil und das hat ganz gut geklappt. Ich wollte für den Hintergrund nur einen Hauch Farbe, da es nicht zu dominant werden sollte. Zunächst hatte ich Angst, dass die Farbe Streifen oder Flecken haben könnte, aber ich habe das Blending-Tool mehrfach abgetupft und ganz vorsichtig in mehreren Schichten gearbeitet und das hat super geklappt.

today starts a new challenge over at Artistic Inspirations and our sponsor is Robyn's Fetish. I used this awesome ghost and printed it several times in different sizes (and inverted). I added a witch and cauldron by Clearly Besotted (from a Fairytale Set) and a Halloweensentiment by another Company. I went for a clean and simple look and it worked quite well. I only wanted a soft ink blending in the background and that was easier than I expected. I was afraid to get streaks of ink, but I tapped the blender tool several times and used a very light hand and several layers.

Lass Dich feiern! / Let's celebrate!

bei dieser Karte habe ich mich ein wenig ausgetobt! Ich habe mir den Aquarellblock und das Stempelset aus dem Create a Smile Sommer Kit geschnappt und losgelegt. Gestempelt wie eine irre, embossed wie verrückt und dann noch meine Aquarellfarben verlaufen lassen. Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht und das Stück Papier hat für zwei Karten und einen Banner gereicht. (Die zweite Karte werde ich in ein paar Tagen zeigen.) Die Farbcombi finde ich so toll und kann gar nicht genug davon bekommen. Und wenn das Gelb, Rot und Orange ineinander fließen, denk ich immer an einen leckeren Cocktail. :D

I went all out on this card. I took my watercolor paper, the stampset from the Create a Smile Summer Kit and got started. I stamped like a crazy person, I embossed wildly and used my watercolors. It was so much fun and the piece of paper was enough for two cards and a banner. (I will show the second card in a few days.) I totally love the color combo and I just can't get enough. And when the yellow, red and orange mix, I always have to think about a yummi cocktail. :D

Dafür habe ich diese tolle Dame von SLS Lines genommen und ihr Ostereier in die Haare gesetzt. (Normalerweise sind da Cupcakes, was auch ganz toll aussieht.) Zunächst hatte ich etwas Angst davor, ihre Haare zu colorieren, aber es ist doch ganz gut geworden. So viel Haar ist mir eigentlich zu viel Haar. :D

heute gibt es wieder eine neue Challenge bei Morgan's Artworld und das Thema für die kommenden zwei Wochen ist "for the Ladies". Dafür habe ich Fae 24 von Morgan genommen und mit meinen Copics coloriert. Den Rahmen habe ich in kalten Grautönen gehalten und nur das zentrale Bild in Farbe gesetzt. An den Haaren muss ich nach wie vor arbeiten, aber ich bin dennoch zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis. :)

today we have a new challenge over at Morgan's Artworld. The theme for the next two weeks is "for the Ladies". I made a card with Morgan's Fae 24 and colored it with Copics. I kept the frame in cold greys and just put the center in color. I still have to work on coloring hair, but I am still happy how it turned out to be.

Vader-Geburtstagskarte / Vader Birthday Card

Hallo :)
passend zum Schlechtwetter-Wochenende habe ich eine Filmkarte hier. Ich werde zwar nicht dazu kommen, viele Filme zu schauen, da ich mit den Halbjahreszeugnissen anfangen muss, aber bei dem Dauerregen da draußen, der ab und an mal in Schneeregen übergeht, bekommt mich nichts aus der Wohnung raus. Da wird sicher Zeit für einen oder zwei Filme bleiben.
Die Karte war recht schnell fertig. Ich glaube, am längsten hab ich am Todesstern gesessen, dabei besteht der nur aus einem Kreis und zwei warmen Grautönen der Copics. Vader ging an sich schnell, aber ich hatte ja schon einmal eine Vaderkarte gemacht.

it's rainy and stormy and sometimes a bit snowy outside, so I planned for this weekend nothing outside. Just staying at home, working in the half-year school certificates (there must be a better english word for that) and watching some films.
Speaking of films, I have a Darth Vader card here. It was made quite fast. I had expirience coloring the Vader, so just the death star took some time. Even though it's just a circle and two shades of warm grey copics.

habe mit Traurigkeit gelesen, dass die Colour Me...! Challenge
auch schließen wird. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass in letzter Zeit 

einige Challenge-Seiten ihren Dienst eingestellt haben. Sehr schade.
Deswegen habe ich hier noch mal eine Karte für die Challenge!
